I keep drafts (thanks WordPress!!) with ideas, words, images and/or videos for future posts and last week I noted that 3 of this future posts in the video category shared the same simple path: urban. Worldwide humans (from Paris, Tokio and London) show their cities and their people to us, useless and sad monkeys. Enjoy it!
Created by Satoshi Kon and produced by Mad House Paranoia Agent is a 13 chapter anime series about (urban legend) Shōnen Bat and a large cast of people affected by him like Tsukiko Sagi (Maromi´s -that big pink shit… er “cute doggie”- creator), his first victim. Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa are two police detectives assigned to investigate Shōnen Bat attacks but they fail and the investigation eventually leads to both men losing their job… oh! but theres more, much more to tell. 13 chapters (some self-contained) are enough to show us a fantastic and great tale of mass madness (in more than one sense). Highly recommended, seriously.
From Catsuka.com heres samples of Paranoia Agent character designs.
Below is Paranoia Agent trailer from Youtube.
Machu Picchu Post is a short 3D film made at Supinfocom Arles in 2008 by Clement Crocq, Margaux Durand-Rival and Nicolas Novali. This is the story of the unexpected meeting between a young peruvian boy living with his lama and a pilot from the airmail flying above the boy’s house.
Copies of my first published works on U.S. arrived today!!! The Phantom #26 and Buckaroo Banzai Big Size #1 from Moonstone Books comes in a huge and beautiful box… I sound a little excited because was my first time. Lame excuse, anyway, heres a little and blured video shot by Eva with my old camera:
Hi, hi, bastards!! Almost 3am here and I just upload a file to my Vimeo account. Is a random coloring of a small part of a pin-up pencilled by Leinil Francis Yu, I made it just as test and Im happy with this and another video could come soon. Enjoy it!
I write this song 10 years ago (when I was a teenager in a music group called Letra Muerta -Dead Letter-) as response to Winter Song (Canción de Invierno) of Silvio Rodríguez. Both songs talk about people who resign to being themselves only to take a “safe” life.
