Copies of my first published works on U.S. arrived today!!! The Phantom #26 and Buckaroo Banzai Big Size #1 from Moonstone Books comes in a huge and beautiful box… I sound a little excited because was my first time. Lame excuse, anyway, heres a little and blured video shot by Eva with my old camera:
I love my work. The actual in crescendo is in some ways… hard. Because I dont want to be just a color artist, I want… I need make illustrations and this days I just make sketches and doodles but here I am, 2:30am in this place and I just take a 30-40 minutes to drink h2o, read a chapter of a book and then back again to work, sucked into the big and colorful Photoshop hole because I need to finish some colors but this time wasnt my workholics senses, maybe in some coming post I could tell more.
And yes, I love my work… but I need draw more.
MUCH more.
Well, I cant write an ode of this special date but she know how I enjoy every thing that we make together: work, fun and love.
Thanks to be here, girl.
2008 gone and I wil miss it.
2007 and 2008 were great times… yeah, maybe my biggest personal trouble (and tragedy) comes this year but also the biggest chance to make a living from my work comes almost the same time. I cant slip my personal life from my work life, both are the same thing: illustration, words and comics are my full breathe (no more, no less).
P.D. I wanted to post a picture from my drawing table, Im working in some short stories and a big (self-concluded) comic-book but I dont have my camera, Im gonna update this entry in a few days.
Tomorrow is the great day, we are moving to a new house. A lot of boxes full of books and comics are like the 60-70% of total luggage. Im going to be offline a lot of days (I dont know how many) thanks to our lazy “domiciliary changes” internet provider.
Today is the day, after a few illness I get back to work at full time.
A lot of cool projects are close, not only my color work for Moonstone (Buckaroo Banzai), this one-shot comic has been a great learning experience to me thanks to Paul Hanley (artist) and Joe Gentile (editor). Another project is a short 3 pages story to El Arsenal: Mixtape with writer Abraham Martínez and again with Abraham theres a short 4 pages story for Openhaüs.03 [Read more]
