Michael Turner passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca.

One of my first favorites artists back when I was only another fat fanboy, Michael Turner`s first kickass work was Witchblade (Top Cow), then Wildstorm calls to join to the first Cliffhanger wave (a subdivision with titles like Danger Girl, Crimson and Battle Chasers) but Marc Silvestri (founder of Top Cow) offers an exclusive contract to publish Turner`s own creation Fathom under Top Cow banner. Some years later, he start his own company (Aspen) and work with Marvel and DC as cover artist (with Peter Steigerwald as colorist).

Fathom was suspended because Michael has a serious health problem: cancer. The same cancer that eight years later finish with his life. He was 37.

Yeah, sure… pure eye-candy but… what about the story?? Well, I need to read more comics but at this moment theres something in the characters lines that I dont like much. Anyway, I want to get a chance to this project. thats why I say yes to work on this comic colors. Theres one writer (Paco Espinosa), one cover artist (Mauricio Herrera) and two creative teams: Jorge Mercado and Benny Fuentes & Rodrigo Tobias and me.

Im truly happy with this chance.

R.G. Llarena (writer), Milton Sobreiro (artist) and Felipe Sobreiro (letterer and colorist) release Cursed Planet in DC Comics Zuda site, competing against another 9 comics.

I really like Cursed Planet and I want to know what the hell happen with Nicholas Jericho and company. My vote for this amazing story.

El número dos de Openhaüs estará disponible en el stand del Protobunker el próximo 31 de mayo y 1 de junio en la MetroCom… ¡así que consiguan su ejemplar!

El número uno se encuentra oficialmente agotado y del número dos quedan pocas copias, algunas las tenemos nosotros y otras se las hemos pasado al buen Mudo para que las venda allá en Tampico. Los colaboradores pateatraseros de este segundo número son: Michele Buscalferri, Eva Cabrera, Nektarios Chrissos, Renato Guerra, Ramón Salas, Tony Sandoval y Alex Thompson… puritita calidad.
