Again a collaboration with Jesús Hernández this time to the second issue of Comikaze, THE mexican magazine about comics. Small in size, Comikaze have real articles for fanboys not only hypes from blogs and forums… and for that, they have my trust.

Here`s a little preview of my color work for the third issue of Ángel Caído Crónicas (Fallen Angel Chronicles) over Rodrigo Tobias art. More than just a comic book miniseries, Ángel Caído Crónicas is a prequel to the first mexican epic movie, full of stunning sfx and great props…
Yeah, sure… pure eye-candy but… what about the story?? Well, I need to read more comics but at this moment theres something in the characters lines that I dont like much. Anyway, I want to get a chance to this project. thats why I say yes to work on this comic colors. Theres one writer (Paco Espinosa), one cover artist (Mauricio Herrera) and two creative teams: Jorge Mercado and Benny Fuentes & Rodrigo Tobias and me.
Im truly happy with this chance.

Im currently working as colorist to Moonstone in a Buckaroo Banzai one-shot and Im very happy with the job, I look to my first colored pages and I see evolution, this Buckaroo Banzai book is a great challenge for me.

But now I can talk! the image drawing by Jesús Hernández and colored by me is the first issue`s cover of Comikaze, a new comic-book related magazine in Mexico. Heres a bigger size. the first issue comes with a Rafael Gallur interview (Gallur is a living legend of mexican comics, Im a überfan of his dynamic art) and an article by Mauricio Herrera, a great chilean illustrator. Comikaze is going to be published the next month.
