Bigger here.
Heres my first draw/sketch done with a Wacom tablet, I use my Wacom for Photoshop colors (and sometimes in Illustrator), but this time I wanted to draw a little experiment just for fun. The first character who comes to my mind was an older Panthro from the Thundercats…

Not a big deal, but hey! was my first fucking time :)
Hi, hi!! Just a quick one (uhm.. as always, right?)…

From left to right: (Above) Daniel, Laura, Andrés, (below) me, Eva, Tatto and Jorge. Cool photo from ¡#$%&! Cómics first party. ¡#$%&! Cómics is a great local project with short comics and comic strips, my first colaboration comes in #4 with Bananarama, an aborted project with a cute monkey as main character but in #5 comes the real colaboration, unfortunately I cant talk about yet. More photos and freaks here.

This image is old for someone, Freakangels promo, a upcoming free webcomic by Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield. Duffield make this animated short and I like enough to post it here:
Ok, my workday is over, in a few minutes Im going to home sweet home to work in comics!!
Life is good.

My pals at Protobunker Studio (Daniel, Raúl, Jorge and Tatto) have a new website with great galleries… and a blog!!
From his about page:
Protobunker Studio, dedicated and created around the ever growing comic book industry is formed by young creative artists, pencilers, writers and digital colorists.
Ongoing projects are part of some of the fields top companies, including (but not limited to) Marvel Comics (USA), Les Humanoïdes Associés (France), and Norma Editorial (Spain). Here, their abilities are applied as graphic colorists or in developing projects of their own.
Enjoying what they do best, these creative fellows use the Protobunker as their launch pad, having no obstacles in sight and fueled with a tank full of imagination.
(Yes, that was the best photo of Protobunker´s crew…)
At this moment 15,000 free magazines with this illustration are in my city…

This image was used as cover for the first issue of Concepto Y/O (moreless Concept I in spanish), a local magazine were Im working as editorial designer and sometimes, as illustrator. Another image for this magazine and his process can be viewed here. The illustration was obviously influenced by Dave McKean, not my regular style but is interesting make some excersizes of this kind. By the way, theres a lot of graphics made by me too.
About content, well, the main article talks about Frida Kahlo´s art, theres an interview with Tomás Hernández aaaand in the next issue comes a great surprise to comicbooks geeks!!!
Two first issue covers this month, nothing bad.

The last weekend was the 31th edition of a comics-related event in my city, not so pro as San Diego ComiCon or another U.S. comicon but is a local chance to spare the comicbook virus. Openhaüs #1 was a total sellout, we are making more copies and we buy the .net domain
Previous times:
We take a week before to make merchandise to our stand: bookmarks, stickers, buttons and, of course, our 20 pages comic book anthology with works by Eva, Ani, Norma and me…
